BARB FERRARI
During the 1980’s Barb Ferrari was part of the burgeoning downtown art scene in NYC. Her involvement consisted of doing performance art, street art as well as curating guerrilla art shows. Among the artists that she was associated with were; Alice Neel, Keith Haring, Ed Higgins III & Buster Cleveland of The Rivington Street School as well as Geoff Hendricks & Ray Johnson of Fluxus.
This period of her career has been documented in an exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art in NYC as well as in the accompanying book by the same title: 'CLUB 57, Film, Performance and Art in the East Village 1978-1988'.
